Window Head Flashing
The most critical flashing on any wall — if water gets past the window head, it gets into the wall. We fabricate head flashing that actually works.
What We Build
Window head flashing sits above every window and door opening to divert water away from the top of the frame and out beyond the wall surface. It's the single most important piece of flashing for preventing wall rot, mold, and water damage.
We fabricate head flashing with proper kick-out legs, back dams, and end dams — not just a flat Z-bend that moves water sideways. Every piece is sized to your window dimensions and your wall assembly.
Z-profile with drip leg. Sized to your window width plus overhang. Integrates with WRB and siding systems.
Welded or folded end dams prevent water from running off the sides. Critical for wide windows and horizontal siding.
Long runs above ribbon windows, storefronts, and sliding door assemblies. Custom lengths up to 10'+.
Materials
Every piece of trim we fabricate is available in any standard color from Metal Sales Manufacturing and AEP Span — 30+ colors between the two lines. We also work with Galvalume, bare steel, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel from Pacific Steel & Recycling.
Standard gauges: 24, 26, and 29 gauge for painted steel. Heavier gauges available for structural and specialty applications. All trim is brake-formed in our Reno shop on the same equipment we use for roofing panels, kitchen hoods, and architectural metalwork — so tolerances are tight and finishes are clean.
