Door Pans
The base of every exterior door is a water entry point. Custom door pans channel water out and away before it ever reaches your subfloor.
What We Build
Door pans sit beneath exterior door thresholds to catch and redirect any water that makes it past the door seal. In snow country, this happens constantly — snowmelt, driving rain, and ice buildup at the threshold push water into the wall cavity and subfloor if there's no pan.
We fabricate door pans with turned-up back dams, side dams, and a front drip edge — a watertight tray that fits your rough opening exactly. Every pan is custom-sized to your door width, jamb depth, and threshold profile.
Three-sided pan with back dam, side dams, and front drip. Sized to your rough opening width and depth.
Extra-wide pans for sliding glass doors. Extended front lip to handle the additional water volume at wide openings.
Center-drain design for double doors. Handles water from both door panels without relying on the center astragal seal.
Materials
Every piece of trim we fabricate is available in any standard color from Metal Sales Manufacturing and AEP Span — 30+ colors between the two lines. We also work with Galvalume, bare steel, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel from Pacific Steel & Recycling.
Standard gauges: 24, 26, and 29 gauge for painted steel. Heavier gauges available for structural and specialty applications. All trim is brake-formed in our Reno shop on the same equipment we use for roofing panels, kitchen hoods, and architectural metalwork — so tolerances are tight and finishes are clean.
