Pro Form Metals
Need something built from metal that doesn't exist off the shelf? That's what we do. From one-off brackets to production runs of custom components, our Reno fabrication shop handles projects that require precision, problem-solving, and craftsmanship.
Overview
Not every metal project fits a neat category. Sometimes you need a custom bracket to solve a structural problem, a set of vent covers fabricated to a specific dimension, or a decorative element that doesn't exist in any catalog. We work from your drawings, sketches, photos, or field measurements to fabricate exactly what you need. Our shop handles cutting, bending, welding, and finishing across steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper. If you can describe it, we can build it.
Our Process
Custom fabrication starts with understanding your problem or vision. Send us whatever you have — napkin sketches, photos of existing parts, CAD files, verbal descriptions, or field measurements. We'll evaluate the project, recommend materials and approaches, and provide a quote. For complex or high-precision work, we may create a prototype for your approval before running the full order. Our shop is equipped with precision brakes, shears, welders (MIG, TIG, and stick), plasma cutters, and grinding and finishing equipment. We handle everything from thin-gauge decorative sheet metal to heavy plate steel fabrication.
Materials
We work with a broad range of metals depending on the application. Mild steel (A36 and equivalent) for structural and general-purpose fabrication. Stainless steel (304 and 316) for corrosion-resistant and food-safe applications. Aluminum (6061 and other alloys) for lightweight and corrosion-resistant needs. Copper and brass for decorative and architectural work. We stock common gauges and thicknesses, and can source specialty materials for unique projects. If you're not sure what material is right for your application, we'll help you figure it out.

FAQ
Absolutely. Many custom projects start with a rough sketch or a photo. We'll refine the design, recommend materials, and confirm dimensions before fabrication. You don't need engineering drawings — though they're helpful if you have them.
We have no minimum order. We handle single-piece custom projects all the time. Whether you need one bracket or a hundred, we'll quote it fairly and build it right.
Simple one-off pieces can often be completed in a few days. More complex fabrication or larger orders may take 1 to 3 weeks depending on design complexity and material availability. We'll give you a realistic timeline upfront.
Yes. Our shop capabilities include MIG welding, TIG welding, stick welding, plasma cutting, shearing, brake forming, grinding, and finishing. We handle the full fabrication process from raw material to finished piece.
Yes. Bring in the old part (or send measurements and photos) and we'll fabricate a replacement. If the original part failed due to a design weakness, we can often improve on the original design while maintaining fit.
